Anthony (Tony) F. Glass was ahead of his time in many ways. Starting originally, he owned and operated a Trucking
Company, running a fleet of Semi Trucks at one time. During this time, Tony saw a need for a Lumber Business in New Philadelphia, Ohio. The Glass Lumber &
Builder's Supply Company was then established in 1951 by Tony and His wife Dorthy.
After years of sacrifice and hard work Tony and Dorothy retired at which time, the business was to be run by their very capable
children Tom, Jim and Barbara. Glass Lumber was successful due to the dedication of all family members and employees to quality and service of the
communities' homebuilders and homeowners alike including a custom Mill Shop where Bill Cooper (Barbara) made many customers happy with his talents.
